Chelsea have reignited their pursuit of an experienced goalkeeper currently at Barcelona, as transfer talks intensify ahead of the new season. The West London club has reportedly renewed contact with the player's camp after previous negotiations failed to materialize earlier this summer.

With Barcelona signing Joan García and also recruiting Wojciech Szczęsny as backup, the veteran is now facing a challenge to retain his first-team spot. Reports indicate that the Spanish giants are even considering terminating his contract to offload his €18 million salary.
