👩👧 Mother’s Vigilance Leads to Daughter’s Cancer Diagnosis
In the United States, Miranda Aldridge noticed a small bump near her 3-year-old daughter Cameron’s eye. Initially dismissed as fatty tissue, Miranda’s concern prompted further testing.
The diagnosis was heartbreaking: B-cell lymphoma, a form of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. At just three years old, Cameron began intensive chemotherapy, and her bravery captured the hearts of many. A touching video of her smiling while cutting her hair before treatment went viral.
In response, the Aldridge family founded Courage for Cam, a nonprofit to support pediatric cancer patients and their families through resources, awareness, and advocacy.
This story reminds us of the power of maternal instinct and the importance of persistence in health matters. Cameron’s courage shines a light of hope in the fight against childhood cancer.
